Property in Cengelkoy

Pera Property offers a range of homes in Cengelkoy, from ultra luxurious Bosphorus view penthouse apartments, to smaller one bed “pied-a-terre” apartments.

Cengelkoy, like most of Istanbul, is undergoing a massive transformation right now. The region used to be home to quite old, low rise stock, and development was strictly prohibited by the Bosphorus planning laws. These days, these laws have been slightly relaxed, allowing development of larger compounds. These compounds must be in keeping with the traditional look of the region, hence much of the architectural form of these compounds is similar.

Height is strictly prohibited, with property that has a Bosphorus aspect usually restricted to three or four stories. Hence Bosphorus view apartments can be amongst the most expensive real estate in the world. Those compounds that are developed out of older dilapidated stock tend to be cheaper.

An entry level apartment can be found closer to the main high road of Cengelkoy, which is called Bosna Bulvari (Bosnia Boulevard). Locals are investing here heavily as the region provides easy access to both major financial zones of Istanbul in Levent (via the Cengelkoy ferry port) and the Atasehir Financial district.
