This famous “Village” project is aimed at those who want to live a comfortable life in nature with its lush geography, yet also offers easy transportation with its location. A quick guide to Zekeriyakoy
Zekeri̇yaköy is a forest area in northern Sariyer developed in the last 20 years. Made up of mainly forest, all construction has been limited to 3.5 stories, and utilising a maximum of 25% of any plot. All villas have been constructed in accordance with Earthquake construction laws.
Most homes here are classically made to the taste of 15 years ago. Climate conditions have been effective on this. Lands are now quite expensive and it has become more difficult to build value for money villas in the vicinity.
Over the last 5 years, major developers have started to build villa compounds in Zekeriyakoy. Uber modern houses have been built within compounds including excellent social activities. International buyers are mainly European, due to the fact that many European consulates have residential compounds here. The British International school is one of the most obvious reflections of the international community.
The larger Sariyer region is already one of istanbul’s oldest societies. The growing business district in Maslak ensured zekeri̇yaköy became a home for business men and women who wanted an alternative to high rise living. The third bridge (YSS) first European junction is in Zekeriyakoy, and this brought further construction and people to the region. Property prices in the region were expected to increase in line with the inauguration, and inevitably it did.
