Anatolian Istanbul is serene when compared to the European side. Uskudar and Kadikoy, world famous in their own right, line the shores of the Bosphorous on the Anatolian side. It is at these locations that the true beauty of Istanbul can be seen, by gazing across to the historic peninsula. Beykoz is an untouched forest haven that lines the Bosphorous to the north. Atasehir and Umraniye are rapidly growing districts, and home to Turkey’s banking and regulatory HQs. Further east, Maltepe and Kartal offer good value for money sea views. Sancaktepe and Cekmekoy offer forest views at good prices, whilst Pendik offers good access to Istanbul’s second airport, along with access to Bursa and Yalova via the new Orhangazi bridge.
